Ok first off if i knew what it was called ect. i would search it. Took boat out today started fine from the winter. I shut off out on the lake and got nothing. No action at all. I moved the shift lever back and forth a bit and the motor would turn over and start and run fine . Did this twice. What is the issue? Can i adjust something on the control?

Boat is a 2002 Glastron SX170. I don't know the brand name of the control

It's inside the control box. You may want to refer to a factory service manual. An unusual failure-but it is getting pretty old. (Around 40 years)

How old is this motor anyway? Some have the switch on the motor, some in the control, some have two---one on motor and one in control. Model number?????

Mistake on my part. I was thinking this was a 135 from the 70's....
