The problem is when I turn the key no clicking , cranking , Nothing

The pushing choke works.

Jump the solenoid and it cranks.

First thing I checked the fuse on the motor and it looked good but the glass was cracked ( I might have done that taking it apart) so I put in a new fuse and the same thing.

Second I ordered a new solenoid from boats .net installed it and nothing.

Thought is may be the key switch.

I took apart the remote controls and the neutral safety switch is in good working condition. I have pwer to the switch when i turn the key to start and power coming out of the switch when it is engaged.

so i think the key switch is good.

When the key os turned on to just power I have juice to the top 3 leads on the terminal block.

I have an exposed wire coming out of the rectifier but it is not broken and not shorting and is one f the wires that are hot when the key is on.

Could it still the key switch?

Could it still be the solenoid ? No clicking at all.

Yes i have a good ground.

Could it be the power pack? I have not taken it apart yet but their is some surface corrosion on the outside.

so any help with the direction I should go or a check that I haven't done yet would be GREAT
Thanks

The powerpack has absolutely nothing to do with a " no cranking condition " on this motor.------ Is there a switch with a white wire near the throttle lever ON THE ENGINE BLOCK ???

you are a genius Racerone !!! stuck a screw driver in between the switch and the hump on the cam and it cranked over. Now why is the hump on the spark advance lever not in the correct position?

No Title

moved the spark advance lever back against the stop and it is in the correct position to crank... very stiff movement This motor has been sitting for 10 plus years and the throttle levers were also very stiff until I worked them back and forth. Do you think taking taking it apart and cleaning and re greasing it is in order? how stiff should it be r should it snap back freely? the last print is the cylinder and crankcase. The switch and spark advance lever is illustrated their #86 and #41
