crankshaft center bearing Johnson 6-8 hp made in 80'

i need some help once again with this motor.
how many needles is in center crankshaft bearing.
29 or 30?

Rule of thumb concerning needle bearings: It takes as many as it will hold. In other words, if it will hold one more, it needs it. But if one more would be too many to fit, well it doesn't take that many. With the correct number in there, it should have some gap, but not enough for one more needle. I've never seen a motor where this rule failed.

model is 6 hp made in 1985.

Post # 3 says to put the bearing shells on the kitchen table.---You hold the shells together with a rubber band.-----Use some grease and put the bearing needles in there.-----If you run out of needles and there is space for one more you will have to find one.

so I could "squize in" 30 needles for middle bearing and 30 for both rods
