I am looking around for a manual for my '88 120 HP V4 Evinrude. But there seem to be more on the market. What would be the best one for me to do some of my work(like cleaning carbs etc.)myself?

I live in The Netherlands, so any European points of sale would be welcome. Or if the ship them (rapidly) from the states that should work as well.

hope I'm not asking the obvious here!
THX JJ

The best manual is the OEM manual. This will give specific info on your particular engine and components. Search for Ken Cook Co. They sell reprints of the original service manuals for Johnson and Evinrudes. You can buy online.

Jan Jaap,

Only use original manuals (OEM).

I've ordered mine at Ken Cook (www.kencook.com), but as far as I know they only offer manuals for models until 1980, you might check for yourself.

Two other possible sources are:
http://theoutboardwizard.bizhosting.com/parts_service_and_owners_manuals.html

http://www.marineengine.com/manuals/evinrude/index.html

Shipping from the US is possible within 3 days, depends on the service chosen.

How's it running now, did the engineer found the problems yet?
