Finally going to get around to getting the old gal running again. The original coils are fried and leaked goo. since I'm replacing the coils, I might as well do the condensers and points as well. Problem is I can't find part numbers. I found one site that lists numbers but its for 53-67 Litewins.
they list: coils: OMC 582995 or 584477 number 18-5181. Ignition tune up kit: OMC 172522 NAPA 18-5006. Also which plugs and gap setting? Please anyone confirm.

Those will not work. 1950 models had the old style magnetos, for which parts are getting hard to find. Those coils (#580040) were pretty much duds, one and all. By 1953, OMC had standardized the magnetos on all of their twin cylinder models to the now ubiquitous universal magnetos. I haven't done it myself, but it is possible to remove the 18-5181 coil from its laminates and reinstall it on the lams from the earlier coil. I believe you have to install it upside down and route the plug wire in such as way as it doesn't rub on the flywheel, but it can be done. Good luck!
