i have a 84 Johnson 115 hp.... I'm having inconsistent spark so I decided to test the trigger... I got 14v + on one side and 4 to 5 on the outher side..... Does that sound ok?? or not so good??
Normal cranking volts on a special "peak reading" voltmeter for the timer base are not that high. Depending on year, there are two values, one in the 0.3 volt range, the other in the 0.6 volt range. The CDI specs for your year will be specific.
