Cruising on the lake today and my boat stopped. Acted like it ran out of fuel. Would not start and so it was towed in. Brought it home and recharged battery as it seemed to not turn over. Turns out the motor will turn about 3/4 around then locks up (with wrench on flywheel) A small part of the block ( I think on the small side of the block not the cylinder side) came out at what appears to be a crank journal. I am assuming something piled up (like a rod or crank bearing) Is this rebuildable? (can I use a half piece from another block?)or is this a write off? I assume the pistons are fine. The motor had 130psi on all cylinders before and has new powerpack, rebuilt carbs and really ran very well before this happened.
Any opinion would be appreciated.

It's probably rebuildable but you'll just have to get inside it and see what all it tore up. Be sure and determine what caused this failure so ya won't have a repeat.

c/6
Hooty
