1984 Johnson 15 hp no spark either cylinder how to test stator and CD power pack? E15RCRM rope start

Engine running fine, ran for several hours, suddenly quit like kill switch had been held in.

Checked kill switch, it's not shorted or defective.

Down to stator or CD failure since both plugs have no spark.

How do I check the stator (can pull flywheel if required) and what is spec (ohms?)? Ditto for CD unit, how to check/specs?

I've looked at several sources on the web, including here, but can't find details on this unit.

I've just ordered a Seloc manual for the unit, but won't arrive for a while and hoped someone could give me a hint (how many wires from stator?, what wires to check/how on CD) to check them so I can get replacement part(s) ordered.

Go to cdielectronics.com. They have good trouble shooting procedures.

I did repair 6 CDI powerpacks. Ona had rusty copper wire under grounding O conection but 5 had to disolve to go into electronic device.
All CDI failure coused by shot tyrystors (1 tyrystor for 1 saprk plug) and 1 triak to form signal shape.
repair is to change this 2 tyrystor and 1 triak
