Evinrude voltage regulator

I have a 1985 Evunrude with tilt/trim that is not charging the battery. Charging coil ohms good, no short to ground or physical damage seen. Voltage from charging coil on test load is 20-30 volts ac.<br /><br />Still nothing from second regulator. Is it possible that I am unlucky and got a bat regulator again? Any testing hints for the regulator or other possible soulutions appreciated.

Boatcrazee,<br /> It could be something as simple as a corroded connector at the battery from the reg.<br /> good luck

Thanks kgw,<br /><br />I checked all of the connections and such with no improvement. I am off to the mechanic to get some expert help. I will let you know if anything he finds solves the problem.
