1986 225 hp Evinrude Lower Unit Leaking

My lower unit leaks water from where the lower unit attaches to the mid unit when running the motor on a boot out of water. No performance problems yet but concerned. Is this just a bad seal or does this indicate more serious issues?

They all leak there. In fact, the newer motors have vents in the seam

Thanks Walker. Thought I would try the forum before taking to a dealership as I am sure they just start the meter when I walked in the door.
