I was just wondering if these are good motors? also if the motor goes do they cost a fortune to get rebuilt or not? I am kinda new to boating and the boat I am looking at is a 1991 SeaSwirl 195SE has this motor.
They are good motors.<br /><br />Mostly it's a factor of how it was maintained.<br /><br />Check the compression. It should be over 100 psi in all six and with 10-15 psi of each other. <br /><br />The lower unit fluid should be clear and not milky.
Like I said I am new to outboards and boats in general, are these motors 2stroke or 4stroke, if 2 stroke are the oil injected or do you have to mix everytime you fill up.
