1996 Johnson 115 Fast Strike V4

Hello Everyone,


I have a problem with my 115 johnson. When I go to take off it will not get on plane. Lugging down really bad. I can push my choke button in while on throttle and the boat will take off and run rine. I let go of the choke button and it stalls again and starts lugging. I have changed spark plugs, checked compression, changed primer bulb and hose and still no help. Any suggestions?

Sounds like time for carb rebuild and cleanout if the high speed jets; could be other problems and the gurus will chime in with those. Good luck You will need to provide a model # off the transom label for them to be able to help further.
