Hello all,<br />I'm not sure I am even in the correct forum, however, I need to find a way to flush out my 1963 Speedifour Evinrude 75 HP after I run it in salt water. I currently put the lower unit in a barrel every time and that's becoming a real pain in the "transom."<br /><br />The water pickup is under the cavitation plate. I wrote Tempo and they told me that model has been discontinued. Any suggestions on where I can find one. Does anyone have tips on fashioning something that would serve the purpose?<br />Thanks in advance,<br />SpeedifourButch

Above the cavitation plate the is an oblong plate held with two screws.. Remove this plate to use as a pattern. Cut out a piece of sheet metal to match this plate. Drill a half inch hole in the sheet metal plate, and soft solder on a brass female garden hose connector.
