1975 Johnson 9.9 hp Starter Motor

Does the 1975 Johnson 9.9 hp outboard have the room for a starter motor? If so please let me know starter part no. so I can buy one.:rolleyes:

You will need the starter.----You will need the intake cover to mount the starter.------You will also need to get the flywheel for the electric start as well.----Some wiring and a solenoid is also required but those are easy to make up.

Unless you can find a donor motor it's more trouble than it's worth for a 9.9 motor. JMHO.

The factory electric starting 9.9 / 15 also came with a built-in alternator, something the old 18 / 20 & 1969+ 25 motors didn't have.
