I have my 1987 Evinrude 48SPL hanging on a stand, my questions are, will it start without having the harness hooked up, and if so, will it hurt my charging system to run it like that.

Thanks Boobie, looks like i will be putting it back on my boat to run it, its probably easier than trying to pull my controls off to hook it all up on the stand, and then having to put them back on .
