What is the purpose of the fiber washers used on the ignition coils and power packs? The parts manual shows them on my 1991 6hp Johnson, but there are none on it, however, on my 1993 25hp Johnson, the parts manual also shows them and all the coils and power pack do have them on. My 115hp Johnson does not show any fiber washers in the parts manual and there are none on the engine.
