The older crossflow (1983) dual fuel pump system requires a suction (pulse) hose barb for each fuel pump. The V6 crossflow blocks were all drilled for dual hose barbs, whether they were both used or not. Not sure that the V6 loopers have this same (dual) capability. A looper expert would have to comment. If not, you could purchase a new-style single fuel pump that does not have the oiling side-from Bombardier. It looks like a VRO type pump, but without the oil mixing capability. You'd save maybe $80 over the current OMS type pump. See you local dealer.
