Repainting 1957 Evinrude, what color?

What is the original color(s) of the 1957 30 hp Evinrude Lark outboard? The one I have appears to have been spray painted black with some blue showing through.<br /><br />What happened to my original post? I can find it listed in a search, but the link takes me to a different post!

We'll need your model number to determine exactly what you have, as Evinrude's Lark was a 30hp in 1956 and a 35hp in 1957 with very different paint schemes... '56 was basically charcoal black with red, gray, white and chrome accents. '57 was battleship gray with black, white, red and chrome accents... If you're getting blue as a base color, it's isn't a Lark...<br />- Scott

Model 25526, IIRC I was told '57 30hp by a local shop. Sorry, I was wrong, it's blue with black showing through. The cowl says Lark.
