I have read a lot of same issue still struggling. I inherited a 1991 Arima 15 sea hunter with a 70 hp 2 stroke. Engine part number E70TLERC , top cylinder will not produce a spark. Troubleshooting:tested compression and top =105 middle=100 bottom =105,' rebuilt/cleaned all carbs, moved spark plug , spark plug cable and coil from middle to top cylinder and top still will not spark. I then put #1 connection to power pack to #2 cylinder and it no longer has a spark, cable from #2 not long enough to reach #1 so could not test. The power pack looks to be new but no idea what was done to engine. I am at point of being expensive to get parts so looking for ideas. I am new to boats and marine engines
