30 year old? Evinrude Sportsman Outboard

I recently purchased a used 12' aluminum boat, and it came with an old Evinrude (I think it's a sportsman) outboard. I can get it to run for approximately 10 minutes and then it quits until it cools down. Can anyone tell me where I can get information on this type of engine? The motor has no ID on it at all.

There should an ID plate on the transom mount.<br /><br />Also, an ID stamped into a welch plug on the engine head.<br /><br />Failing that, does it have a metal (pre-1959) or fiberglass hood? Could you post a picture of it?

The ID tag on my 1974 Evinrude Sporster Electric is on the side of the saddleModel and serial will be on same tag. Mine is a 25 horse
