1996 johnson 175hp will not restart

Ok i have so far rebuilt the carbs the gas in it is good and clean the lines r good. The power pack was check and is good the plugs r new. When I go to start it it will start and run but then when I shut it down and it sits it will not restart please help if u can thanks.

I have had that issue myself on a similar motor. I have never figured out a cause, but I have been able to mitigate it. When you go to restart, advance the throttle and let her run at 1500RPM for a few minutes, until she runs normally. Also, give her a minute of idle time, before turning her off. I think the issue is heat soak.

thanks but the problom is i cant get it to restart after it sits i tryed to run up the throttle did not help with the restart

When it does this pull the cover and check to see if you have spark....
