I have an evinrude 115 1984 and the sparkplugs in it are ngk bz7hs10 they work fine but I want to replace them and they are a fortune.About 7 bucks each.I can use ngk br7hs according to the ngk book.the bz is for a commercial motor and the br is for the regular motor. How do I know which I have?My motor is light blue from top to bottom. 2770..... A 1984 Evinrude 115hp would be better suited using Champion QL77JC4 or L77JC4 plugs gapped at .040. The "Q" indicates a resistor plug to help quiet electrical interference in any electronics.

If you're going to use NGK plugs, use B7HS-10 plugs, also gapped at .040.

Ditto Joe.

You can pick up the Champions at Wal Mart for around $2.00 a piece, They work great.
