Just bourght a 15 hp Evinrude Commercial<br />Model: SE15RPT<br />Serial: G 02627132 <br /><br />Cant figure out what year it was manufactured - these Commercial models doesent follow the normal "rules".<br /><br />Anyone knows what is different from a "normal" 15 hp model?

enn<br />1991 Will guess that the compression may be a bit lower for more grunt work. Somebody else can fill in the details.

Don't know if there is any differeces between 1991 and 1992 Evinrude but this is what I have on the 1992 15R (called "Super Series") and 15 (called "Sport Series"):<br />Two cylinders (cross flow)<br />One carb<br />216 cc <br />Bore 56 mm stroke 45 mm<br />11,2 kW @ 6000 rpm (15R) 11,2 kW @ 6250 rpm (15)<br />Rpm range 5500-6500 rpm<br />Standard prop 9,5" x 10"<br />Weight 33/34/36 kilo<br />Short shaft 381 mm<br />Long shaft 508 mm<br /><br />As Backfire says lower compression. Makes low octane fuel possible.<br /><br />The colour is different dark blue on both models but your cowling is gray/silver and red too. At least on the 1992 models.<br /><br />/Bear
