I started a thread some time ago and it got shut down, but I'm back to working on the engine and I could really use some help.. I think I might be 'sunk'.

Please read the opening post of my last thread at:

Since this post was shut down, I did a compression test today. I had less than 15psi on the top cylinder and about 40 on the bottom. How f*&(&ed am I?

Thank you so much in advance...

Please read the above link.

I would use another compression guage and confirm that those readings are correct; you might have a bad guage . The other thought is that you could have a blown head gasket which is leaking compression. Need to take the head off and see what you have. Has the engine been overheated?

my friend was using the boat when all of this happened. so i don't know if it overheated, but while cranking the boat in the driveway trying to start it; it's spits water out of the indicator spot really well... so its like the impeller is still good
