Fuel pump replacement?

I am disconnecting and removing my VRO pump on an 1987 evinrude XP150. I understand from many post here that the VRO pump is both a oil pump and fuel pump. Does that mean that I will have to install an electric fuel pump if I remove the VRO pump?

Nope. You can either buy a new pump without the oil fittings or use plugs from the autoparts store to plug up where the oil lines were.
