Hello.
It is a 1955 and there are a lot of them around. The most value you can get out of them is by being on the water and by reading about them on this board.
It has basic value, but it is very old and not old enough to be an antique.
Good luck.

Right now there are some manuals on e-bay.
write :"johnson outboard" on the search and a whole world of outboard stuff, good and bad, opens up.
I think there was a Fleetwin Featherlite in '55.
The original advice on mix with 30 weight oil was 1:24 but most guys I know would run 1:32 with TC-W3.
I hope this will help you.Although I understand what you write, I really do not have an inkling what you mean.

Don't give up.
You can always get to the library and photo copy one.
Or buy a seloc or clymer for your year and horse power.

Hey Guys! I have a "52" and a "53" Fleetwin 7.5 hp. Both are younger than me. So please don't call them "Very Old". Oh, anybody know where to get parts for these year Fleetwins?

Used parts- AOMCI.ORG, check the Webvertize part of the site, some stuff is still available through IBOATS by Sierra Marine, some OMC part #'s still work as well.

And in the outboard world, they are old , don't take it as a personal attack.

I have the parts manual for the '56 Evinrude 7.5 if you want it. It is very similar to the '55. PM me your email address if you want it and I'll sent it. (I also have the '54 one but the '56 is closer to the '55)

'55 is a bit different in design than the '56, but there are a lot of things in the manual that should be helpful. chasboman, you might also try Seaway Marine in Seattle WA, or Engine Blade and Prop, up in Milwaukie WI.

Steve, give him the manual for a 1954 instead of the 1956. Its a better match.

The original fuel mix was 16:1 with 30W. I wouldn't go 32:1. I use 24:1 with synthetic outboard oil TC-W3.

Value is too subjective. I've passed by several non-runners and probable runners for well under $100. I won't pay more than $60 CDN in any condition. The last one I bought cost $15. In good running and cosmetic condition with pressure tank you are looking at upto $250.

Its been a while since I posted on here. Feels good to be back.

It has been awhile! Too busy boating huh?

Heck, he can have both and figure it out if he wants... I don't know the 7.5's that well.

I was spending too much time on the computer and not enough doing what I love. Wait until you see the 1925 Johnson A-25 I'm working on, but that's best saved for an email.

At any rate, the 1954 and 1955 Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5 hp motors are virtually identical. Significant changes came in 1956.

Right on!! I had a '29 and a '30. The '29 was the last year of the apposed twin and the '30 was the first year of the alternate firing twin, of that model. Both of the ones I had ran great too. Nothing wrong with being here and sharing what you love to do either.:D

Last speedtwin I worked on, as soon as I tuned it up the lower gears blew out. They are a very weak spot, so check them. One of the gears and one of the bearings are NLA.
