1980 115 Johnson vs 1982 115 Evinrude?

Are the 1980 115 Johnson V4 and the 1982 115 Evinrude V4 motors the same except for deacls? I am replacing my 115 Johnson with a 115 Evinrude. I am I correct in assuming these two motors are almost identical and are interchangeable? If not please let me know before I make a big mistake.

Only the names are changed to protect the innocent....go ahead everything will swap across. There might be slight differances in parts (improved slightly) in the newer one.<br /><br />Bob
