Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5

I have an old Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5 that was my fathers and I'm trying to restore it so I can utilize it with my children but I can't find the year and have no modle number.<br />The serial # is 7516-93928 if anyone can help me it would be great.<br />Thanks in advance.

Ted.... Your engine is a 1954 7.5hp Evinrude.

Actualy i belive its a 1955 i have the same engine. mine runs good, but needs some paint.

For Future Information:<br /><br />7514, 7515, 7516, and 7517 are the 1954 models.<br /><br />7518 and 7519 are the 1955 models

im wonderign if you have a gasket set?, preferably the head gasket?... i wanna take the head off and see whats goin on in there, but i know the gaskets will turn to crap if it do... thanks

ON the drive shaft I have a spring rubber bushing and a brass washer where do they go?
Was taken apart a long time ago on impellor change
