Hello all, I just got my boat back from mechanic for lower unit reseal job and he told me that when he finally got the unit apart (had to use heat) that he did not get the warm fuzzies at what he saw. There were pieces of gear metal which he managed to to get out and he said I should start looking for a backup lower unit soon. I change lower oil after each outing hoping to make unit last til new one can be found.
