New Head Gasket - Sealer?

Looks like the new gasket already has a sealer on one side...

Should sealer be used on either side?

(Assuming no, but want to double check)

Which side goes up?

See the little tab on one end of the gasket ?-See if that lines up with anything on the block.

Thanks! One of those Duh moments....the little tab does line it up. Can only go one way.

Head gaskets made now days do not require any sealant.

1/2 the world use sealant, the other 1/2 does not. All their motors seem to work fine, so flip your coin and get torqueing.

I decided to go dry....made some major progress last night.

Just have some linkages to hook back up, need to finish cleaning / re-building carbs and I'll be ready for a test run this weekend hopefully.
