I am so lost, First I had problems with the starter, i have a parts motor so i made one good starter out of 2. Now it turns over wonderfully however I am getting no spark. I tried changed the pulse pack and coil as well as other components at the terminal strip but nothing seems to work.

Is their a kill switch wire i can undo and/or something else i am missing both motors I were told worked fine when i got them so i cant imagine having 2 bad pulse packs.

Take the coil and unbolt it from it's mount and then UNSCREW the coil wire from the distributor cap. Remount the coil and check the spark coming out of the coil only. It should jump a 1/2" open air gap on a spark tester. Get back to us with the results.

My 72 100 hp developed an ignition problem. Would run when cold, the shut off once warmed up. Was a bad timing sensor under the flywheel.

By doing the above he's eliminating the distributor cap and rotor.
