1989 6hp Evinrude

Have this small engine broken down to replace impeller. I am wondering if there is anything else I should do while I have it all apart.

I just got this engine last year and there was no history but I don't think that it was maintained much at all. I am certainly going to replace the gear oil.

I think I might just pull the prop and give it an inspection. Are there any gaskets etc. I will need to have?

The water pump kit should have everything you need to do the job.
When you change the lower unit oil make sure to replace the seal washers on the plugs.
You will not need anything to pull the prop.
