1989 Johnson 175 - No Spark

Well, spring is finally here. The flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, and the boat is on the fritz! :mad-new:

1) Big red plug is disconnected

2) Cranking with jumper very fast

3) No spark anywhere

Can anyone suggest the next logical test to isolate the trouble?

OK, never mind, fixed now. In reading some of the other post, others mentioned disconnecting the yellow/black wire, so that what I did. That must have re-set something, because I got spark and re-connected it. The engine fired right up.
