I think i have a seal leaking in the lower gear case unit behind the prop. I am going to order a seal kit. Is this a hard job? Any advice or pointers?

Thanks,
John

What makes you think you have a seal leaking?
Have you checked to see if there is anything around the propshaft and has worked it's way into the seal, like fishing line?

Have it pressure tested before you take it apart. That way you'll know exactly where it's leaking.

I will take the prob off and look at it more closely. I filled the gear case last week and ran it for a bit then brought it back in my garage and i noticed alot of the gear oil leaked out and seemed to be coming from behind the prop in the area of the seal. The motor has been sitting for nearly 15 years!
