i have a fuel leak coming out of my lower carb where fuel line attaches is there a way to fix it or do i have to buy new float bowl. Its leaking where the plastic elbow goes in to bowl
All of the plastic fuel bowls on these late crossflows will leak. Not so much a matter of if, but when they leak. These bowls have poor structural rigidity with age. They all warp at the mating surface with the upper carb body. Replace both bowls. Order the same part number and it will supercede to the correct replacement.
If your bowl is aluminum, it's already been replaced. Looking at the factory parts lists, I don't seen an elbow listed as a replaceable part on the float bowl for a 1996 88 hp engine...
When I get the new one I'll try to remove it but don't want to till have new one.that's what I found also online so figured no way to change it had to buy new oh well only money right
