I am new here don't know how to post pics the problem with my lower unit is oil leaking from between prop and unit is that a easy fix?

If the oil that is leaking is black and smells like fuel it's from the motor.

No... they look the same but gear ratio is different

Thanks for the replies just bought this boat for the motor for the starcraft that I am restoring this motor has not been started in a few years. I put a battery in it and some fuel and it fired right up sounded good idled good and when I shut it down I noticed the oil coming out from between the prop and unit. Haven't had time to check out cause of the rain and work.
