I have a 1999 evinrude 5hp 4 stroke that I am doing a head gasket replacement on. I have been using brakleen to clean both sides and I think that it is ready for the gasket. Does anyone know if this looks clean enough? Also would anyone recommend using 3M gasket glue to apply to the head before putting on the gasket?
Thanks!photo 1.jpg]229974[/ATTACH]

Looks good.
Check the gasket and see if it says not to use sealer right on it, most newer gaskets do not use sealer.
