installing starter on 95 40hp johnson

40hp 95 johnson model # j40rle0d....looking to install an electric start since the rewind starter is starting to go south...starter mounts allready on the motor & cant find any solenoid mounts...ordered a used starter for now 0585056 & a new solenoid 0586180...what capacity push button will I need & what gauge wire should I run through it, I know I need 2 or 4 gauge for batt leads but not sure about the smaller solenoid leads

You can use just about any pushbutton starter switch, you are not working with that much amperage for the starter solenoid.
You could probably use 14 guage wire for the solenoid.
