Hello, I'm having the motor cover painted and I need to get the louvers out of the cover because there's a bunch of wax and crud build up in the crevasses between the "removable" louver and the cover. We need to get this stuff cleaned up before painting. So, I take the 1 screw out that holds the louver in place but with screw removed they both are very tight and stubborn and wont pop out. If I crank on them any harder I'm gonna break the louvers. I've checked oem diagrams and searched for other screws and there aren't any.
Does anyone have information on how to get these things out?
