88 Johnson SPL, ruff idle......any ideas. Includes youtube video of idle. PLEASE HELP

Good-day all,

I would really like someones help diagnosing my Unknown Year Johnson 88 SPL. The video I have attached, I did not touch anything. The engine just picks up on idle and seems to be missing?

Please note I am a 22 year old that knows absolutely nothing about outboards. I do understand the components and how an engine works but can not diagnose them.

Please help as Id like to launch the boat for the 2014 season soon.

Start with 4 new sparkplugs.

While you have the plugs out, check the compression to make sure you don't have any problems there.
