Tachometer on 75 Johnson 70hp 3cyl

I read the wiring diagram and found the gray wire for the tachometer in my control but as far as what tach I can use and how to wire it I am unsure. I know that I can't use just any tach because it is a 2 cycle so if you have any recommendations they are appreciated

You simply need a marine tachometer that will operate off of the outboard's 6 pulse alternator charging system, one that has a dial on the back of it that can be set to number 6. Check with this site's parts setup, your local dealership, various marine stores, etc... possibly a new one is available on eBay?

Thanks Joe, as far as the wiring goes is it just three wires? The gray, a hot, and a ground
