I have a Johnson V-6 outboard with a blown cylinder. Can anyone tell me if this is something that can be sleeved or do I just need to hone it and it put new rings in it? The top of the cylinder head show some heat damage but I can replace that part easily. I'd really like to get this motor working. The bottom end is strong and it has a new prop.

Cylinder can be bored out and oversize piston fitted.----If damage is severe a sleeve can be fitted.----Teardown and measure / inspect before spending any money here.

You want to check that the crank journals are all ok first before ordering parts

You can get factory .030 over pistons. The factory permits overboring on just one cyl without any carb changes. If you bore over that size, you will have to use aftermarket pistons, meaning all 6 will need to be replaced so they match.
