johnson 70 hp 1981 seahorse tilt problem

need help with tilt trim on my motor.-the tilt take a long time to tilt up -then it take a long time to start to cam down ,and when is going down won t stop at any time . look s like that air are on the line. no sure what to do about this.

drain the old fluid and fill with new, then cycle it up and down about 20 times to purge any air from it.
also make sure the main tilt tube on your bracket is not corred or stuck, grease everywhere there is a nipple to use.
check the bracket is not squashing the trim unit from the sides, if any corrosion in between it can put pressure on the trim unit.

might sound impossible but seen it happen a few times.
