ran just fine a couple weeks ago, went out a couple days ago, wouldn't start? Put a sparker on it at home, looks like no spark. I first I figured no gas so I tore apart the carb hand cleaned 3 orifices, none looked dirty though. Looks likes plugs are wet. When pulling the engine is bouncing so much not sure about spark, but have a feeling no spark. Suggestions on next step? Went to CDI and they don't recognize a 77 9.9hp. makes me think I have something there wrong.

Check the transom bracket or the freeze plug (south of the flywheel) on the top of block for model number. CDI is a great site. Could be powerpack, stator, coil.

the model # is 10724A serial is E0006563 the owners operators manual says its a 1977, 9.9 hp. I can not find that one on CDI. But I probably should be able to follow its troubleshooting guide. But still will be unsure about parts purchasing I am thinking?

Try it at night, thatl tell you if you have spark.
No spark on both cylinders then suspect kill switch or stator/coil.
Disconnect the kill switch to test that.
Ohmns test the stator if its not that
