I would like some of your opinions on using this oil in my lower unit. I just did a lower end seal job on it and haven't added oil yet. My wife picked this up at an auto parts store when she was in town.

I wouldn't have a problem putting it in my outdrive but you have an outboard. Only reason I use Merc HP gear lube is because it has a green tint, not that it's better then lets say Mobile 1 synthetic, it's because the color helps identify possible issue sooner. It is synthetic and meets GL5
I wasn't sure about the forum rules so I just took a close up without the brand name. And I didn't really think the brand name would be relevant to the question.
