1987 40 hp evinrude spark?

Hello everyone, I just purchased my first boat. It has a 1987 40 hp evinrude vro . Installed new plugs, new fuel cell and line, new oil. I can get it to start for a few seconds or a minute then lose spark. Motor has not ran in three years. Any advise? Thanks

Disconnect the black/yellow wire from the pack and then see what happens with your spark.
