Hi guys,

I got a 1996 Evinrude 150 intruder, the last couple times out last fall if I were to let it idle for a minute than take off it would stall on me, have to restart it and than it will go,
I have a few things that I want to replace, fuel filter, hoses etc, I removed the fuel filter (above the vro pump) to replace it and it was full on straight oil, I also removed the main fuel line going to the motor and there was oil in there too, I removed the vro pump and everything inside looks good, even though it looks good inside can it still be needing replacement,
Thanks

Re: Oil in fuel filter

Check the cap on oil tank as if vent is stopped up the tank due to temp changes will pressurize and push oil thru vro into carbs

Check the cap on your oil tank to make sure it's venting and the oil tank is not building up pressure.
