1952 Evinrude Fleetwin Clutch Adjustment

I have a new-to-me 1951-52 Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5 hp motor. I have had the bottom end apart and cleaned up and everything seems to be in good condition. However I haven't been able to find instructions on how to properly set/adjust the clutch rod. Can anyone enlighten me as to the correct procedure?

It's been too many years to remember the "correct" instructions, but safe to say that with the motor running, it should engage/disengage the clutch at about half way up & down of the knob.
