1962 evinrude fisherman

I have an Evinrude 5.5 hp fisherman and I want to change the impeller, I know everything I've read said to remove the power head and that there are 7 bolts, my problem is I can only find 6 bolts and mine are 3/8 bolts not slotted screws like I've read can someone clarify if I'm looking at the right bolts or am I missing something.

Pretty sure the 5.5 and my 6's use the same exhaust housing (aka, mid section)

Model # 5524, when taking bolts out they come out from the bottom, right? I'm new to working on boat motors so I'm just making sure I'm doing it right.

Tes, they come out from the bottom. And yes, some do have hex heads
