Converting from a 1958 18 hp to a 1956 30hp Johnson

I'm ready to mount and connect the '56 to my 1954 Feathercraft.

With the 1958 18 hp, I had it wired to the switch as per the original spec.

I see the 1956 just has a choke and start button configuration with only a wire going to the starter solenoid and the mercury safety switch. For the choke I DO have the reducer to bring it down to 6 volts.

I like the look of the switch and medallion as is. Is there any way to keep the key switch and wire it properly to the 1956?

Where the push button start is, just have the key switch wired. Do you want a kill circuit to stop?
